Sony adds another video camera to their 4K family. PXW-Z150 offers users the ability to shoot 4K in a small sized camcorder. The Single large sensor allows more light in which means better low light shoots and more depth of field. The model offered in Singapore would be a world model with both ntsc and PAL
As usual, Sony products are easy to use and durable, making the PXWZ150 worth bring into the field may it be for wildlife shoots, documentaries, live events, sports coverages, weddings .
With 4K , you are future proofing yourself allowing you to know that you are ready when they need to deliver 4K content to your customers is required. Recording is 4K XAVC 4:2:0 8-bit, HD in XAVC at 4:2:2 10-bit, as well as MPEG2HD at 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 in 8-bit only. We'd recommend an external recorder like the Atomos Shogun Inferno for 4K HDR recording and monitoring.
Wifi is for remote controlling of camera, file transfer or streaming.
Dual SD card slots for media
24 x clear image zoom with 12 x optical Zoom G Lens.
The PXWZ150 does have a bigger brother in the family, The PXW-Z100 which offers 4:2:2 10 bit internal recording along with a 20 x optical zoom lens. It also records in true 4096x2160 instead of Z150 3840 x 2160.
Overall the Z150 would be the camera of choice as the leading compact camcorder segment.
